Instructional Designer & eLearning Specialist

Find the gap.
Design the bridge.

For 13 years I have closed the distance between what teams do today and what their work demands. I build training for government ministries including MOEYS and MVLT, for USAID and international NGOs, and for private companies. I start every project by finding the gap. The content comes last.

The real problem

The training happened.
The behavior didn't change.

Most failed training starts the same way. Someone picks the content before anyone asks what people need to do differently. Then delivery takes the blame for a design mistake.

  • 01

You ran the workshop. Everyone showed up.

Two weeks later the team works exactly as it did before. The deck sits in a folder nobody opens.

  • 02

Your expert knows everything. They can't teach it.

What comes back runs 90 slides. Every fact checks out. Nobody can learn from it.

  • 03

You bought the platform. Completion sits at 30%.

The LMS never caused this. People abandon content that ignores how they actually work.

  • 04

The donor wants evidence, not attendance.

You have sign-in sheets and a satisfaction survey. Neither one shows whether a single person does the job differently.

The fix

Start with the gap.
Build only what closes it.

How I work

I don't start with content.
I start with the gap.

Five stages. Each one answers a single question, narrows the distance between what people do today and what their work demands, and produces a document you can hold me to.

01

Analyze

What can't they do today?

Needs analysis report

I interview the people doing the work, not only the people who commissioned the training. The report names the gap in observable terms: what someone does now, and what the job requires.

02

Design

What has to change to close it?

Design book

I write objectives as behaviors and map each one to a scenario that provokes it. I also decide what to cut. Most requested content does not survive this stage.

03

Develop

Does it hold up under real constraints?

Scripts, storyboards, modules

I build against the design book. Low bandwidth, shared devices, unreliable power, and second-language learners shape the build from day one instead of forcing patches later.

04

Implement

Where does it break with real people?

Pilot and facilitator kit

A real cohort runs the material before full rollout. Facilitators get guides they can teach from directly. Whatever breaks in the pilot gets fixed before it reaches everyone.

05

Evaluate

Did the gap actually close?

Evidence, not attendance

I measure against the behavior named in stage 01, not satisfaction scores. When the gap stays open, that finding drives the next revision instead of disappearing into an annex.

What I do
